Nestled along Jumeirah Beach road is Zieda Beauty Lounge, a standalone salon dedicated to giving women a relaxing experience
Zieda Beauty Lounge spans over two floors, with the nail bar and hair area on the ground floor, and a juice bar and treatment rooms upstairs. The decor is fresh and contemporary, with gorgeous art that adorn the walls in vibrant colours, to complement the chic minimalist decor. After a coffee to wake me up from my midday slumber, my therapist Nezha ushered me to the treatment room for the Paradise spa pedicure. My legs (up until my knees) were cleaned thoroughly and scrubbed with a glistening exfoliator that smelled fresh and fruity. For extra hydration, she slathered on a thick mask and covered my legs with saran wrap for a few minutes. Nezha then proceeded with a light massage along my legs to boost circulation. After cleaning away the mask with a warm wet towel, I instantly touched my legs to feel if they were soft and smooth, and they were, for days after too.
To prep my skin for summer, I tried the Hydro-facial. Thalgo products are used on the skin, giving it a boost of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals with marine-based ingredients. Nezha began the facial by cleansing my face, exfoliating it and placing steam on to bring the gunk to the surface – for extraction. No machines were used in the process, but my therapist went the extra mile to make sure all blackheads were removed, pores were deep cleansed, and my skin looked bright and clear. A mask was placed on, followed by serum, collagen cream under the eyes, and moisturizer.
The verdict
I was surprised at how radiant my skin looked. There was a highlighter kind of glow on my cheekbones and my skin looked incredibly healthy. To conquer the week ahead, I got a bouncy beach wave blow-dry before heading out.
