Chopard launches a collection of four luxury fragrances

Following the succes of Garden of the Tropics and Gardens of Paradise, Chopard’s new Haute Parfumerie collection for men (or women who love masculine fragrances) – Gardens of the Kings – pays tribute to the most precious, noble and mythical natural ingredient in perfume, oud.

The four fragrances from Chopard – Agar Royal, Aigle Impérial, Nuit des Rois and Or de Calambac – created by Master Perfumer Alberto Morillas, takes Oud Assafi on an olfactive journey across India, China, the Middle-East and South America, blending it with a superb array of exceptional natural ingredients responsibly sourced from five different continents.

Agar Royal boasts notes of Indian oud, sambac jasmine, tuberose, sandalwood, cypriol nagarmotha, while Aigle Imperial is a natural, aromatic and oxygenated green oud that is “engorged with the golden light of mandarin, lemon and citron, the limpidity of green tea notes and ginger, and the intensity of patchouli leaves,” says Morillas.

The Nuit de Rois showcases Oud Assafi with Bulgarian rose and orris, complemented by patchouli, saffron, honey and vanilla, and the sensuality of a dark and supple leather note; while Or de Calambac hits the nose with fresh spices like cinnamon, cardamom, star anise and pepper, gourmet notes like cocoa, tonka bean and vanilla, and the warm, woody notes of vetiver and gaiac wood.

Available for $386 (AED1,420; €347) at Robinsons, Galeries Lafayette, Debenhams, and Tryano Abu Dhabi
